I am the associate pastor at First Apostolic Church in Knoxville, Tennessee. FAC is a church rich in heritage in the Apostolic Pentecostal movement. I’m blessed to be apart of this wonderful church.
A Life of Study is my personal blog. My focus in life is to know Jesus, and I have found that seeking Him comes through prayer and much study of the scriptures. I’ll be writing on certain Biblical topics, reviewing books I’ve read or currently reading, writing on studying and being a resource for ministries.I have a goal of updating the blog at least once a week.

Pastor Whitley was born and raised in Bloomington, Indiana. He felt his call to preach in 2002. Bro. Nate was a full time Evangelist for several years traveling across the country and internationally. Before evangelizing, he worked as an intern at Medora Pentecostal Church in Indiana under Pastor Tim Gill, and at Bethlehem Church of the Lord Jesus Christ in Potts Camp, MS under Pastor Jon Vazquez. In 2010, he married Sis. Ashley. They both felt their call to Knoxville where Sis. Ashley had been raised. They are both now serving and working at First Apostolic Church. Along with his powerful preaching, Bro. Nate oversees all outreach and discipleship programs, and teaches at Apostolic Christian School. Sis. Ashley teaches at Apostolic Christian School and is the Minister of Music at First Apostolic Church. She received her bachelor’s degree from the University of Tennessee in Business Studies. They are both excited about leading the next generation of First Apostolic Church.
